Design & Structural Features
High-Rigidity Frame & A-Frame Column
The VMC1000II is engineered with a robust frame cast entirely from high-grade gray iron, providing industry-leading vibration damping and structural mass. The column utilizes a precision-mounted herringbone and cross-ribbed “A-shape” geometry, boosting torsional stiffness and minimizing spindle deflection. The centrally mounted spindle head travels on dual high-precision roller linear guides for smooth, accurate vertical movement.
High-Precision Linear Guideway System
Heavy-duty guideways on all three axes (X, Y, Z) ensure fluid positioning and high-speed rapids, maintaining tight tolerances over extended production cycles.
High-Performance 12,000 RPM Direct Drive Spindle
The inline direct drive design eliminates vibration and power loss associated with belt-driven spindles. An integrated oil cooling system maintains thermal stability and positional accuracy throughout long production runs. Peak torque of 95.5 Nm (70.4 ft-lbf) supports both heavy-duty roughing and high-speed finishing.
Side-Mount Swing-Arm Automatic Tool Changer (ATC)
The cam-driven 24+1 station ATC delivers fast, reliable tool changes with the magazine positioned outside the machining zone for a clean cutting environment. A twin-bearing arm and integrated sensors ensure stable, consistent operation.
Precision-Ground Work Table
The 1,200 × 600 mm table supports large or multiple part setups. Five T-slots are sized and spaced for compatibility with standard North American fixturing systems.
Chip Management & Automation
An internal flush system combined with dual auger chip conveyors handles high-volume chip removal efficiently. The machine includes interfaces for 4th-axis rotary tables, automated tool management systems, and an auto-door, making it automation-ready from the factory floor.
